Mary McDonough
June 4, 1961 – July 06, 2021

Mary McDonough, a founder and co-owner of Nightingale Homecare was a registered nurse who was a conscientious, tenacious, and motivated go-getter.
She started Nightingale Homecare in 1994 because she knew she could provide home care more effectively and compassionately than the companies she had been employed by. She put in countless hours to establish and market the agency, often handing out her famous home-baked pies to get business from potential referral sources.
Mary so admired Florence Nightingale’s intelligence, selflessness and methodical approach to nursing that she was compelled to name the agency after her. To this day, employees of the company are evaluated against a high standard of excellence and compassion that illustrates what it means to be a true “Nightingale”.
